I did soooo good my first week, not so good since then. I'm pulling out the ole stress excuse on this one. Last Wednesday night there was an awful wind storm...to make a long story short...it blew my patio roof off and up onto the roof of my house. It also put two holes in the roof of my house and a concrete block crushed the trunk of my new car. A few days after that I was driving my daughters car to work and a rock was kicked up into the windshield of her car by an oncomming truck, yea...a nice little hole in that.
And finally we have the impending surgery for my husband, nothing major, just knee surgery. But still, he'll be home for at least a month. Home with nothing to do for a month....yea, you wives out there know EXACTLY what I'm talking about...I can hear you out there now saying, "crap that sucks for her"! I gave up smoking years ago...I think I am gonna have to start drinking or something soon. So if anyone has any favorite alcoholic beverages they would like to share I am open for suggestions!
Today I went to the doctors for another IPL (Intense pulse light) treatment.
It is a noninvasive treatment to correct many skin inperfections.
I have always had problem skin, I tried everything possible for YEARS. Then one day I went to a plastic surgeon to have a spot removed from my cheek. (KC you know who, thanks for the recomendation, he's awesome!) He refused to touch it until he got my skin problems under control. He put me on accutane, and it worked! With my acne gone, he decided it was time to work on my rosacea condition. This is where the IPL comes in. The procedure repairs sun damage, age spots, broken capillaries, freckles, acne scars and the redness caused my rosacea. I have had 3 treatments so far and the results so far are unbelieveable! I can't believe what a dramatic difference there is. Anyone who might consider this I have to warn you, it is not cheap. Luckily with all of my conditions and a lot of help from my fabulous doctor he was able to get it approved through my insurance company, but the cost for one treatment which lasts about 10 minutes is $720. Yes, I said seven hundred and twenty dollars....and worth every freaking penny! He also prescribed me a cream called tretinoin, it is a generic form of Retin A. Yes, I am obsessed. I will not age gracefully, I will fight it every step of the way.....

No, no, noooooo; step away from the beverage! You can still do this! Crummy week, and all. I have faith in you. Roofs and trunks can be replaced; there's only one of you! :-)
ReplyDeleteTell me I'm not too late! Nothing from you since the 19th, hmmmm....I will accept stress for, let me see, another day or so, how's that? Enough time to tend to the disasters? Get your hubby back on the mend? Well wishes to him; intestinal fortitude to you, and I expect your imminent return! Take care until, :-)
